Global Citizen is committed to sustainability. For the 2025 festival, they are expected to continue their efforts, which in previous years included switching from diesel generators to a SmartGrid battery system to power the entire festival, significantly reducing carbon emissions. They also focus on minimizing waste, providing compostable packaging and utensils, ensuring the venue is single-use plastic-free, encouraging attendees to bring reusable water bottles, and repurposing stage materials from previous events.
