Groove Cruise, through its non-profit Whet Foundation, focuses on various initiatives including Destination Donation (providing essential items to underprivileged children in visited destinations, such as supporting Second Mile Haiti for malnourished children), Mental Health Awareness, Celebration of Life (using biodegradable wreaths for memorials), Community Captains, and Ocean Conservation (organizing immersive events to raise awareness and support research efforts). In 2024, they partnered with 4ocean for ocean trash removal. The broader cruise industry, which Groove Cruise operates within, is also actively working towards environmental sustainability by investing in cleaner fuels, renewable energy, advanced waste reduction and recycling programs, and shore power capabilities to minimize environmental impact.
